Grover Introduces Tunable Concert Tambourine

5/Feb/2012

Grover Pro Percussion announced the release of their new Model T2/GS-T tunable concert tambourine.

The Grover Pro Tunable Tambourine is the first professional-level tunable and customizable tambourine. It provides players who prefer a natural skin head the ability to maintain a consistent head tension regardless of the ambient temperature or humidity.  The first tambourine to utilize miniature titanium tuning pins, the Grover tuning system provides players a tuning range not previously possible with professional-level, concert tambourines. The Grover Pro tuning mechanism is completely internal to the shell of the tambourine, invisible from view and unobtrusive. The patent-pending tuning system has been 2 years in the making and has been carefully designed to avoid adding extra weight or bulky external hardware.

In addition to being tunable, the Grover Pro Tunable Tambourine is easily customizable. The top row of 18 jingles are interchangeable, allowing for an unbelievable 26 trillion jingle configurations! Customizable jingle combinations allow players the ability to create new, exciting sound colors.  Packages of 18 jingles can be purchased separately in Phosphor Bronze, Beryllium Copper, Heat-Treated Copper, Heat-Treated Silver and Brass alloys.

“The response so far has been ecstatic!” claims Grover President & Founder Neil Grover.  “We took a few samples to PASIC and had large crowds in our booth eager to see and experience our new tuning system”, he continued.  “We rocked the tambourine world when we introduced our professional level concert tambourines in 1980 and we’re doing it again in 2012”, Grover proudly exclaims.

Each Grover Pro Tunable Tambourine comes complete with a Grover Pro tambourine bag, and a custom tuning key in a velvet storage pouch.
