 Nathan studied with Ben Hoffnung, James Strebing, Jonathan Herbert and Peter Hill before settling in the Bristol region as a freelance musician and newly appointed head percussion teacher for Wiltshire and Wiltshire Youth Orchestra.His experience includes performances with Sakari Oramo, Lionel Friend, Jason Lai, Jim Lowe, Nigel Perrin, Andrew Shullman, Jason Thornton and Stephan Hofkes. Recently, he has been associated with the London Gala Orchestra, Bath Philharmonia Orchestra, Bath Opera Orchestra, Bristol Opera Orchestra, Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra, Regency Sinfonia, Emerald Ensemble and continues a busy schedule and happy association with many groups.
As a percussionist and specialist timpanist, his recent solo recitals have included the rare Fischer 'Symphony for eight timpani and orchestra', premiered in the Bath Assembly Rooms. Nathan is also a member of the renowned International Staff Band based in London, with this group he has made numerous recordings and toured the United Kingdom, Europe, United States and Canada. His future plans include touring with the Norwegian National Ballet and initiating exciting percussion opportunities for Wiltshire children. |
