equivox trio EQUIVOX TRIO: THE TIME IS NOW
New cd available now: Rob Buckland – Saxophones, Simone Rebello – Percussion, Peter Lawson – Piano

“…in an area where there are no pre-conceived boundaries or traditions to inhibit the performers, anything, literally anything, becomes possible…”

The vast number of instrumental combinations available to this extraordinary group enables the Equivox Trio to present a programme of almost unparalleled sonic diversity and contrast, with each player and instrument maintaining its own identity whilst contributing to an incredibly complementary musical whole.  In addition to the Trio line up, each performer also has a solo track, using their instruments in unconventional ways, and the source of each composition is equally varied, with classical, jazz, world music, folk traditions and contemporary instrumental showpieces all playing their part in creating a truly unique soundscape.  Melodic, approachable, engaging and committed music with a real honesty and integrity, from three of the UK’s top performers.

“Breathtaking virtuosity and energy.  Each new piece leapt sparkling off the page and left the audience spellbound.  From the softest whisper to a lion’s roar, this group’s range of colours and sounds has to be heard to be believed!”
