NYU Percussion Program presents
 
Broadway Percussion Seminar/Summit, June 7-12, 2007
 Jonathan Haas, host and director of NYU Classical Percussion

A six day intensive study of the skill, experience and know how into the world of Broadway: study with the percussionists from The Lion King, The Producers, Les Miserable,Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, The Wedding Singer, and Radio City Music Hall.
 
Broadway preparation sessions will include drum-set, multi-percussion, mallets, world percussion, timpani, and synthesizer presented by original musicians who “created the book”.
 
On the final day the culmination of the seminar will include a roundtable discussion and Question and Answer sessions with leading contractors, conductors,percussionists, managers, and special guests.
 
Eight Broadway shows will be presented, in-depth by the percussionists who developed the original book with participating NYU students and other selected participants. Saturday will be SHOW DAY: each participant will visit and tour pits of a Broadway show. After watching the show from the audience, dinner will be served with the percussionist who played the show.
