Another year has passed and we are delighted to announce our 3rd Annual Day of Percussion,
Hosted by Birmingham Conservatoire Percussion Department. Sunday 23rd November 2008, 10am – 7.15pm

Samba techniques clinic

11.00 – 11.50, David Samuels Clinic RH
Vibraphone clinic.

12.00 – 12.50 Birmingham Schools Concert ABH
Lunchtime concert by the Birmingham Schools percussion ensemble Dhol ensemble.

12.50 – 13.50 Lunch

13.50 – 14.40, Peter Huntington Clinic ABH
Studio drumming clinic.

14.50 – 15.30, Simeon Smith Interactive Samba RH
Join the BPD samba band led by Simeon Smith

15.40 – 16.30, John Wooton Clinic ABH
Snare drum techniques and rudimental drumming.

16.40 – 17.20, Peter Huntington Rockschool RH
Join Peter Huntington, Rockschool examiner, as he explains he drum syllabus and offers hints and tips to students and teachers. This will end with a question and answer session.

17.30 – 1800, John Wooton Practice pad Session RH
Wanting to brush up on your technique? Expert sticksman John Wooton will be on hand to show you the route to increased speed, power and control.

18.00 – 19.15, Dave Samuels Concert ABH
Dave Samuels will present a concert of his own compositions joined by students from the Birmingham Conservatoire percussion department.

There will be a huge collection of trade stands open at the event – a perfect opportunity for some pre-christmas shopping!
