Brighouse and Rastrick Band Principal Percussionist Jason Poulston has signed a deal with one of the UK's Hottest New Rock Bands,

Velvet Star is an up and coming Rock Band based in Goole, East Yorkshire, The Band is signed to FK Music Management in York and Jason was appointed drummer for the band in February of this year.  Jason said 'this is a new opportunity for me to expand my playing style and techniques, you dont get to do this sort of playing at the back of a brass band, and it is a nice change to be able to really show what I can do on a drum kit' 

Jason will be recording with the band throughout April and their EP will be released Mid July.  Lead Singer Danny Jones, who appointed Jason said ' Jason joins us from a very musical background, and was the perfect choice for us' 

Jason remains as principal with Brighouse.

Velvet Star will be Touring the UK throughout August with dates in Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bradford and London already confirmed.
