The Regency Percussion Ensemble Diggory Seacome, Director 15th April, Cheltenham, 2.30pm

The Regency Percussion Ensemble Diggory Seacome, Director
An entertaining recital of ensemble pieces featuring orchestral percussionds instruments, introduced by the Ensemble’s Director, Diggory Seacome, who will show the skills and musicianship required of todays players.

The Regency Percussion Ensemble is comprised of players who are former pupils of the Director, Diggory Seacome
Those playing this afternoon are:-

Jeremy Little
Sam Gerard
Rachel Williams
Jonathan Grogan

The common perception of percussion is that it is noisy!!   We aim to show you today that subtlety and sensitivity are also part of the percussionist's stock in trade, along with rhythmic accuracy and manual dexterity, through a variety of pieces composed for the medium of percussion quartet.

The players are all either studying, or have qualified, and are now performing and teaching in and around the Gloucestershire area.

The repertoire to be performed this afternoon includes works by:-
Fisher Tull - Sonatina
Leonard Salzedo - Concerto for Percussion
David Lyon - Suite for Percussion
George Lawrence - Percussion Parade
Malcolm Arnold - Concert Piece for Percussion and Piano
Jeffrey Peyton - Four on the Floor

Pittville Pump Room, East Approach Drive, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 3JE
